The Department of Media Intelligence (Nakashima Lab, or MIMLab) in SANKEN, The University of Osaka, accepts students as collaborative lab of the Department of Computer Science and Software Science, School of Engineering Science, The University of Osaka and the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Osaka.
If you wish to join our lab as an undergraduate student, you must first enter through the Department of Information and Computer Sciences at the School of Engineering Science (Admissions Information).
If you wish to join as a graduate student, you must apply through the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology (Admissions Information). For both the Master’s and Doctoral programs, we encourage you to send your CV and a research proposal in advance to the email address here. This will allow us to conduct a screening process and and interview, through which we can provide various forms of support (Your CV and research proposal will be used solely for screening).
At our lab, we welcome students who are passionate about research and want to enjoy their student life while engaging in meaningful academic work. If you’re aiming to publish at top-tier conferences and are motivated to pursue high-level research, we would love for you to consider joining us. However, especially for graduate-level applicants, we place significant emphasis on prior research experience during the screening process.
